I got out for a quarter century on my MtnBike, a real nice ride. I did think about how nice it would be if man had "Gills," that thought comes to mind this time of the year, the hoomidity is on the rise.
The wildflowers are really in bloom, it's like riding through a Garden.
Think I'll have a little "Grannies Tonic" this afternoon, I think I feel a cold coming on, I'm not sure but I'm not takin any chances.
And I'm not lazy, I've just got so much to do, I don't know where to start.
I've been getting in some miles on my MtnBike, the upright position favors my neck. Our weather has been nice for riding and the flora is in full bloom.
Dogwood
Every thing is blooming early, even the bugs.
I hope everyone has a fun, safe weekend on the bike.
Be sure and watch Boonen and Cancellara in the "Tour of Flanders" on Sunday, I watch the races on steephilltv,
I think our Drought is on a temporary hold due to a steady moderate rain all day yesterday and last night and it's still raining this morning.
Decisions, Decisions. Mitt Romney is coming to Shreveport for a Campaign get together at the Petroleum Club, imagine that. It's a Thousand dollars to attend and another 1500 dollars if you want to get your picture taken with Mitt. What to do, come on mrbill, it's a NoBrainer, "smile mrbill!"
I'm thinking of running for President, I've got a plan to get gas down to a buck and a quarter.
First thing this morning I had to get my tomatoes and peppers in the ground.
Garden 2012 planted, complete with Cat Fence.
Once I got thru with planting garden I got my Mountain bike out, it wanted to go for a ride. I loved being back on a regular bike, mrbill was dancing on the pedals, can't do that on a recumbent, and I like to dance. I'll be out there again tomorrow, weather permitting, we've got mucho rain headed our way, little pine trees and garden should love it.
I had a real nice day yesterday, it started out with a bike ride and then it was off to Pruitt Lake for some Kayaking.
The weather was nice, sun with some clouds, a high of about 84 degrees. Got to get out and enjoy it now before the water starts to boil.
Mama was keeping a close watch on her new baby
Pruitt Lake and me Kayak
Got to get some more pics of Pruitt lake, really a neat place to Kayak.
I start in Pruitt Lake and then travel thru narrow creek to Barnes Lake and then enter another narrow creek that goes I know not where, yet.
As I paddled along I was completely by myself, could have been a hundred years ago, really a nice time, solitude.
As I was paddling along in Pruitt Lake something surfaced in front of me, surfaced and rolled over and went under, I thought it might be the Pruitt Lake monster, or an alligator.
It also got me to thinking, since I had my lure trailing behind me, what would I do if that monster hit that lure, big trouble for mrbill, need to keep a knife handy for cutting the line, don't think I would fair to well doing a ninety degree turn at 30 mph in a Kayak.
I believe the monster was an Alligator Gar, folks on Falcon Lake, on the Rio Grande, run these Gars up in the slews and shoot them with rifles.
A really good day, I didn't catch any fish, which is good, no fish to clean and no malfunctions on my bike ride.

Beautiful day in N E Tx. Temps now are 80 high and 60 low, a bit warm and scary for this early in the year. I managed to get in thirteen miles on my Homemade, a good day.

From:TomYou think that's scary. We've got the same temps here.
mrbill: Maybe I won't move to Minneapolis after all.

Jamin at another level, Rest in Peace "Bugs"
Rainout today
I went out for Mexican food last night, went to Don Juans in Hughes Springs. The food was better than at our Mexican Restaurant in Linden but not quite as good as in Jefferson.
Main Street in Downtown Hughes Spings, Don Juans, far right
My favorite, Chicken Enchilades, think I'll stick to the Sour Cream sauce from now on.
Took this photo on todays ride. Unfortunately the old boy who owns these horses likes to starve animals, so I usually stop and pull a little grass from the side of the road and throw it over to them. I've got them trained like Pavlovs Dogs, I holler and they salivate.
What's mrbill been up to? I've been riding everyday, no mega miles, but turning those cranks, getting a bit of exercise, some fresh air and just overall enjoying the miles I get. I'm still riding my "Homemade," did a little work on it, a new used rear derailleur, an improvement, the pulleys have teeth on them, works pretty good.
The deer have really been moving lately, saw six day before yesterday and a nice six point buck yesterday.
The best thing that's happened lately was when the Retard down the road moved and took his obnoxious dogs with him, I'm not going to miss "Boxer Bob," and his friends, I almost miss them, Not.
The weather has been good for the most part, little wind and rain but able to ride around most of it.
Work a little, Rid a little
New used Derailleur
L W Kirklands (Wimpy) homeplace, complete with Dog Run, built in 1865 and Wimpy, who's 87 yrs old, lives next door, by himself, tends to horses and other critters, amazing.
Nice Fireplace, you'll notice the house is standing on Iron ore rock, no termites when local rocks are used, old timers were smart, heck, still are.
Thanks everyone for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend, I'm going for a bike ride.
