Tour de Paris

19 July 14
74 deg, 36 miles, 18+ mph

Today was a great day for a bike ride, and we had us a great ride.
The ride was the "Tour de Paris" in Paris, Texas.
The weather may have been the best ever for this event, with a high of 74 deg, believe me, that's crazy for July in Texas.
Linden was represented by me, Jerry and Roger and Robert came up from Waco for the ride, everyone had a great time, no mechanicals, no recks, just the perfect day.

I need to thank the guys that let me ride with them, with a special thanks to the "Aggie Animal" who pulled us for 20 miles, I wanted to help, but he didn't need it. We ended up with an 18+ mph avg, I loved it, just cooking, best group in a while.
Jerry and Nick from Texarkana were also having a nice day, they passed us just before the 60k turnoff.

The "Tour de Paris" is definitely one of the best organized rides around and today couldn't have been better, thanks to all who made it possible, I got a big kick out of making new friends and seeing old friends.

This is a pic of the young men I hooked up with on the ride. You can see the Young Musician and the Aggie Animal is in front of him, this was my view for about 20 miles.
This pic makes me laugh because when I usually take action pics it's with riders who are not quite as fit as I am, but when I sat up an took this pic, looked at it, then looked up the road I had to put the camera up quick and stand and chase to get back on, no more action shots on this ride.
