Yesterday Charmane, Roger, Jerry and I had a good ride from Red Hill to Marietta and back.

Today I got in 16 miles on my ride to town and back. After getting back to the house the first thing I did was to set the Gopher trap, out by the shop they've made quite a mess. After setting Gopher trap I took Bootsie to town for a walk, nice walk around town. When I got home I checked the trap and luckily I got one, hope he's the only one in this spot but i'm not sure yet, I do have another one to get in a different area. I just chunked the dead Gopher over the fence into the woods and sure enough it was on my front porch this morning, thanks Bootsie.

It's cooled off in NE TX but it's just about right for bike riding, high in the low 60's, as long as it isn't raining. We've had a record year for rain, our average is 42 inches a year and this year we've had about 62 inches so far.

Today was a fun day on the bike. I went to Longview, Tx to ride with the "Maverick Chain Gang." This is a group out of Marshall and they are a fine bunch to ride with, Cliff and DeeGee do a great Job.
The ride began and ended at the Longview Airport and we rode around Lake Cherokee. As you can imagine it was constantly up and down and round and round. The road conditions were really good and the weather was fine except for the wind which was a killer on that finishing stretch, we got in 35 miles.
Roger and Jerry also went, there was twelve of us altogether.

Thanks again Cliff and DeeGee for putting this ride out there.

Below are a few photos, I would like to have taken more but I was busy trying to make it up all the hills and hang on to my riding partners.
