I took my loop to town today and while I was in town I stopped by the Hardware store to pick up a couple of gopher traps. This time of the year the gophers really go to work, last year I caught 5 and this year I'm up to 4 so far and will probably catch more. I really don't like killing the little rascals but they sure do tear up the yard.

After the hardware store I was riding thru Linden and stopped at the square to check out a rather neat attraction, a Large Armadillo.

I got out this morning for my loop to town and back which almost turned into disaster. I got to town and as I was passing thru a neighborhood on a backstreet a little black puppy came out of the weeds to my left and ran right in front of me. I didn't have time to miss him so bam, I hit him and I go left, right and end up in the ditch with sticks and mud before finally getting back on the road. I'm not sure how I managed to keep it up but I really just didn't want to go down. I'm tired of hitting the asphalt so I was extremely relieved to be riding on down the road thinking about how I could be on my way to the hospital with a broken collar bone. In my opinion dogs are definitely the biggest danger to cyclists, like deer sometimes you just can't miss them.

On Saturday the 6th Jerry, Roger and I went to De Queen, AR for the Tour De Queen. I've always liked this ride, it's a good route and we get to see some folks we haven't seen in a while, Nancy Gore and Michael Prewitt.
