Today I spent the morning walking the dogs and reading.
In the afternoon Jerry and I took a ride, the weather was fine, 65 deg and full sun. I don't know where everyone was yesterday but there was hardly anyone out and after the ride we stopped by the Fuel Center and there was no one there, weird.

Hated to hear that Egan Bernal crashed while training in Colombia, he hit a parked Bus, lucky he wasn't paralyzed, hope he comes back strong, it will be tough, mentally and physically.

I hear rumors of Banning Books, what a stupid dangerous idea, banning books is what happens in Dictatorships and Autocracies, fight the Banning of Books.

Another day working in the woods and riding inside.
This morning was cold at 34 deg and damp plus zero wind so after walking the dogs I decided it would be a good day to burn some of the crap I've been clearing for a bit now.
It worked out fine, now I've still got some cleanup to do but at least now I can see what I've got since I burnt down a bunch of the grass and vines.

I also managed to get in 10 miles on my indoor bike and my 40 pushups.

I also got in a nap, a little reading, overall a good productive day.

I didn't accomplish a lot today, cold in the morning so I read, then walked the dogs.
In the afternoon I went to Linden to the Fuel Center for the 4 o'clock meeting of "The Bunch." The Bunch has taken a hit with illnesses, Jerry's has acute Bronchitis and Roger is down with a cold and Terry Haines is back after having Covid. All this makes the Fuel Center a less desirable place to visit, although I do make it a couple of times a week.

I got to thinking how I was feeling and that got me to thinking about my Biorhythms

Intellectually and Emotionally I seem to be in good shape but my Physical outlook doesn't look to great.

Today was spent working in the my woods and reading.
The day started off pretty good cloudy and 45 deg so I did some more work on the trees behind the house. In the afternoon we had light rain so I spent the time reading.

If you like "Who Done it's," you'll like this book.

I did manage to get in 10 miles on the indoor bike after my afternoon nap, I needed it, the nap and the ride.

Out today doing a litle more work in the woods. Today I mainly spent my time getting a big tree ready to take down. The big tree has a bunch of vines and small plants growing around the base so I had to clean that up a bit so I could get to the tree.
After cleaning some around the tree I got my extension ladder and proceeded to tie my long heavy duty rope to the tree, as high as I could.
I believe I'm ready so when I have a day of light to no wind I'll call Roger and we'll tie the rope to a vehicle just to make sure the tree falls the right way.
These three trees are a potential problem for my power line to the house so I have to make sure they fall the right way. I've done this quite a few times but it's always an adventure.

This pic shows some clearing I've done out front of my place. I took down 4 Cedar trees and one large Oak. The problem is vines, there a real pain in the ass, got to chop your way thru them to get to the tree.

These are the three large trees out back by my power line, you can see the extension ladder and the rope.

Cold this morning, 16 degrees, thankfully we will have sunshine today and nearly 50 degrees later, and then another cold night before a little warming trend.
I got out yesterday and took a few pics of the dogs, impossible to get one of me and both dogs in the same frame, to frisky.

I've been doing a lot of reading including several of James Micheners books, he is one of my favorite authors, the Master of HIstorical Fiction, my favorite.
At present I'm reading a Who Done It?, "The Late Show" by Michael Connelly and I'm enjoying it.

I will ride today either outdoor or indoor depending on weather and time.

A norther blue in last night so cold and windy today, a good day to ride indoors.
I've got to make a trip to Texarkana today to take Teresa to get new frames for her glasses, and the good thing is that means we get our Chicken Taco at Colimas Mexican restaurant.
So far 2022 is rolling right along, no extremely bad weather yet although it will be in the lower 20 and teens the next few nights.
I've been working around the place a bit lately trying to clean up some trees, vines and bushes on the front part of my property, tired of looking at the mess, it's a work in progress, I'll try to post a few pics of what I've been up to.
Corona virus update, things are pretty much normal around Linden, few people wearing masks but most folks going about business as normal.
