Tour DeQueen,DeQueen,Arkansas

50 deg at start, 62 at finish
25 miles, 1450 ft ele gain

It was pretty cool this morning at the start of the ride, maybe 50 deg and it didn't get above 62 deg, just right.
There was a little wind but with the turns and the hills you didn't notice it that much.
I decided I'd ride the 25 mile route and do some visiting. Not long after I arrive I see Nancy Gore and then Michael Prewitt and then Jerry pulls up right beside me, the gangs all here.

The ride started at 9am, it wasn't a large crowd so getting out of town was easy, a few hills the flat landers weren't to happy with.
Of course Michael Prewitt takes off on the 47 mile route and ends up being the only one on it, he still managed to clock 18.5 mph. I was close to the front of the group and I see this guy behind me so I slow just a bit and Jesse Lowery pulls up and we start visiting. After we ride along just a bit these two ladies pull up beside us and start to slowly pull away, I had to tag along and so did Jesse. I have to mention Jesse was on a mtn bike with knobby tires and the rest of us were on carbon and Jerry joined us on his recumbent.
We stayed with the ladies to the turnaround point and watched them ride off into the distance, filled with admiration.

Then the old guys turned and went a couple of miles to the rest stop and stopped for a short break.

We did discover that Jesse had a broke spoke on his rear wheel, it was bad enough that wheel would rub the frame, Jesse powered thru.

So it was a fun day meeting up with friends and riding bikes.
