Last night was quite a night, quite a concert. We went to see "Wes Jeans" at "Music City Texas Theatre" in Linden, TX.
Teresa and I have been to a few other concerts at Music City but I believe this was the rowdiest crowd yet, in a good way.
It's kind of funny, Linden is in a dry County, but they have a sign at Music City that says "Alcohol will not be displayed", in other words, everyone brings in their coolers and poors their drinks in cups, doesn't look like anyone is drinking, right? wrong, about halfway thru the night you're sure some drinking is going on. As a matter of fact, Teresa and I have never seen so many drunks in Linden at once.
The performance:
Wes put on a great show, some real guitar picking, with a lot of faceoffs with his lead guitar, heavy rocking, hard guitar.
Teresa and I actually enjoyed the opening act, "Lance Lopez, NewJack and the Rippers" from Hope, AR., better than we did Wes. We like Blues that makes you want to dance, Wes kind of nails you to the seat, one set was all we could handle, plus it was three hours past our bedtime when he finished the first set.
The Crowd:
Their were a lot of folks making their first visit to Music City, four from Longview sat right in front of us. A friendly bunch, you'll see then in the pics. The old boy on the left in the pic tells us, "don't use the earplugs, that way the on the drive home, your car will sound like a brand new one, no rattles, knocking or anything." This is the same guy who got started partying a little early it seemed.
Yep Teresa and I have learned, as you get older, timing is important, start to early, you'll never make it, it ain't like your twenty five and can go all day and all night.
All in all we had a fun night, my left ear hurts this morning from Teresa screaming, got to see some great Guitar playing and did a whole lot of people watching.
I think my favorite part of the Concert was when this shapely blond had to get by us to go to the restroom, it was a tight squeeze and halfway thru the night she was rubbing her butt in everyones faces as she passed by, it was awful.
A fun night, we survived another "RockOut".
