Had a great time at the "Courthouse to Courthouse Ride" this year. I had a great support crew, Teresa and our Grandson Bubba, although Bubba did eat half my treats, man them kids can eat, but it took a lot of energy to do the monkey bars at the park in Jefferson.
The weather was perfect, cool at the start and mild at the finish, light wind and clouds, I don't think I could have ordered better weather.
There's also a castle on the ride, it's in the small community of Bera just outside of Jefferson, pic below.
We had fun at the park in Jefferson, Bubba got to go to McDonalds and Teresa got to look at some garage sales.
On leaving town I also ran into an old friend of mine, Richard Payne, the Mayor, if you see him sitting on his bench, tell him Bill said Hi.
My return trip from Jefferson went smooth and when I got to the Courthouse in Linden, Teresa and Bubba were waiting for me. I was feeling pretty good so I told them to go on to the house and I got me seven more miles making a total of fifty five for the day.
Wish you could have been there it was a good time all the way around, don't miss it next year!!
Out of all my pics, I'm partial to the pic of the turtle, I've been seeing a few lately so when I saw this fellow I stopped and got a pic, also moved him to the side of the road so he wouldn't get crunched.
